Kinoko gohan
(rice with mushrooms)
Ingredients (4 servings):
2 cups rice
2,5 cups of water
15 cm kombu (sea kale)
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp sake
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1-2 mushrooms
Preparation:
1. Put rice in a bowl and wash it with cold water. Drain rice in a colander for 30 min. Put rice in a rice cooker and add water.
2. Clean kombu and slit it with scissors. Place it in a rice cooker and set aside for 30 min.
3. Wash mushrooms and clean using a wet tea towel.
4. Cut off a mushroom roots. Slice mushrooms lengthwise. Add sake.
5. Take out kombu, add seasonings and mushrooms.
6. Mix rice and boil it as usual.
