The manufacture of this sort of black pigs is located in Kagoshima. The diet of these pigs contains 10-12% of sweet batat. That's why their sweet meat is rich with glucose. This meat also contains vitamins A and B1 and restores energy. Glands of pigs (tetsu) contain cilium, which is healthy for blood circulation and regulation of maintenance of water in an organism. The best parts of this meat go to the ham manufacture. This ham is used in cooking tonkatsu and nikujaga.

The sort called roz pork is also manufactured in Ibaraki. This meat is used for yakibuta (smoked pork). This meat is also used in cooking ham, sukiyaki, tonkatsu and bacon. This sort is widespread all over the Japan.
